Why stop at a small one acre or two acre block.
In some parts of the US and Australia you can pick up a mighty ranch size allocation of land of 20-30 acres for $20,000-$50,000. now that is a lot of land for very little cost per acre.
Again, our forum is a good luck to look for the latest offerings, but also try searching for Ranches in Google as it returns a lot of regular value properties.
I hear they also have some reasonable sized properties for sale in Zimbabwe that are very cheap, but you would need a lot of vision and hope to purchase land in that country, I think.
I have also seen large allotments of land going at reasonable prices in Romania and Bulgaria over the past few years.
